Geothermal systems take advantage of the Earth's natural ability to store solar energy. Loops of piping are routed underground to where the temperature is 50 degrees year round, connected to an indoor unit which extracts the energy for heating the house. A water based solution is run through piping to the ground, where it absorbs heat and transfers it to the house. In the summer heat is taken from the house and transferred back to the ground. This system utilizes electricity to run the different components. Since up to 3/4 of your homes energy comes free from the earth, the system is helpful environmentally; utilizing and thereby preserving Earth's natural resources. We install units manufactured by WaterFurnace in our Geothermal systems.
